Tortelli ai marroni

A delicious November at Palazzo Torriani

Have a look at the events we organized for this cold November.

Chocolate at Palazzo

Saturday November 18th the Tuscan master chocolatier Simone de Castro is at Palazzo Torriani to celebrate his birthday and prepares some special confectionery from chocolate. After a quick introduction to cacao’s history, Simone introduces us to the marvelous world of chocolate by preparing 5 different pieces of chocolate inspired to Palazzo’s Torriani rooms; it’s going to be a guided tasting to chocolate and to Palazzo Torriani’s long history. Chocolate tastings cost 15€ per person. More details here.

Musica maestro!

Sunday November 19th the professors of famous Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra perform a free concert inside Palazzo Torriani. The classical concert is free: professor Domenico Pierini plays the violin and professor Patrizio Serrino plays the cello. More details here.

Sunday lunch only for gourmets

Sunday November 26th we organize a special Sunday lunch, or the so-called pranzo della domenica, with only dishes made with chestnuts; from appetizers to cakes every plate is going to be made with Marroni chestnuts, that are one of the main ingredients of local cuisine. Most of the recipes we’re going to prepare come from the cookbook of historic chef Martino, who used to prepare a different recipe every day.

Every dish is going to be paired with the local craft beer Lom, made with chestnuts. Cost per person 65€, more details here.
