Cooking classes and tastings
Our cooking classes take place in the heart of Palazzo Torriani, i.e. in the family kitchen on the first floor, where we prepare some traditional dishes from Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, directly taken from Chef Martino’s cooking book. We only use local products, coming from Marradi and its producers, combined with regional wines and local beers to celebrate your stay at Palazzo Torriani.

On request, it is possible to arrange lunches and dinners to taste local products: a food and wine journey across the Alto-Mugello where the tastes of the Tuscan cuisine match those of Emilia-Romagna.

The Marron Buono of Marradi
The town of Marradi is famous worldwide for its chestnuts called Marroni di Marradi: a top quality product that is celebrated every year during the Chestnuts Festival, held every Sunday in October. The chestnut is fundamental in our culinary tradition and we are glad to let you taste recipes based on chestnuts: from the entrée to the beer, from the desert to ravioli.

Sunday Brunch at Palazzo Torriani
In Spring and Autumn we arrange tasting brunches at the Palazzo. Our brunch is worth of kings and queens with a rich buffet of sweet and savoury food, freshly made in the early morning followed by marmalades, cold-cuts and different kind of local cheese.
On request, you can taste some recipes invented by the legendary Chef Martino such as ravioli with ricotta and nettles, ravioli filled with potatoes or chestnuts garnished with oil and pecorino cheese, fried rabbit with fried artichokes, crunchy chicken bites and other delicacies that vary from time to time.

Guided Tours at Palazzo Torriani and surroundings
On request, it is possible to visit Palazzo Torriani and discover its long history and valuable masterpieces; we are pleased to provide our guests all the necessary information to visit Marradi and its surroundings.
